Ecuador vs Germany – Ecuador or draw double chance at 4/5 with bet365
With first place secured, Germany should rotate their side ahead of the knockout rounds. Ecuador need a victory to make it through to the last 32 after a rough start, but they should be better suited to meeting a more progressive German side.
Ecuador have suffered one defeat in their last 21 internationals, and that was courtesy of an added-time winner in their tournament opener against the Ivory Coast. Given how a full-strength Germany side toiled in their second game, Ecuador are good value to at least avoid defeat in their final match.

South Africa vs South Korea – Over 1.5 South Korea goals at 4/5 with bet365
South Korea still need to get a result to ensure they secure second spot in Group A and they should be able to rack up the goals against South Africa. South Korea beat the Czech Republic 2-1 in round one, while they were unlucky not to score against Mexico.
Myung-Bo Hong’s side registered more shots than Mexico and had more possession, but they fell to a 1-0 defeat last time out. South Africa have looked vulnerable in both of their Group A matches and they will struggle to keep South Korea quiet in a game that they have to win to ensure they finish second.

Netherlands vs Tunisia – Netherlands and over 3.5 goals at 5/4 with bet365
Tunisia have already been eliminated after being hammered 5-1 by Sweden and 4-0 by Japan in Group F so the Netherlands will be licking their lips in anticipation of a similar outcome in their favour when they take on the Eagles of Carthage in Kansas City.
The Dutch have scored seven goals in two games and can follow up their 5-1 thrashing of Sweden by picking up another high-scoring victory, which would also boost their hopes of securing top spot in the process.
Henry Hardwicke
Scotland vs Brazil – Scotland at 15/2 with bet365
I like taking a flyer on Scotland at a massive price in this spot. The Tartan Army went down 1-0 to Morocco, but Steve Clarke’s side allowed the impressive Atlas Lions only two shots on target and an expected goals figure of 0.99.
The result suggests otherwise, but Brazil made Morocco look a far better side when drawing 1-1 in their World Cup opener. That stalemate followed a disappointing qualifying campaign and pinning hopes on Brazil’s 3-0 success over Haiti is a dangerous game.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men lack the legs and tempo to expose disciplined defensive performances and that will be even more apparent with Raphinha now missing through injury.
I don’t think it’s 15/2 that Scotland will dig in and nick this Miami contest.
Gareth Freeman
Paraguay vs Australia – Australia to win at 14/5 with bet365
A point would probably suit both Paraguay and Australia in their respective bids to get out of the group stage but at a big price I’m willing to take a chance on the Socceroos here.
Paraguay were well beaten by the USA in their opener and then managed a smash-and-grab win over Turkiye. I’d argue Australia performed better in both of their games against those sides, hurting Turkiye on the counter and then putting USA under pressure late on after falling behind.
There is a fear these teams will adopt cautious approaches to the game but that isn’t really the Aussie way, across all sports, and they look the more likely of these teams to go for a win here.

Japan vs Sweden – Japan to win at 19/20 with bet365
Sweden may have started the World Cup with a 5-1 thrashing of Tunisia, but their display against the Netherlands left a lot to be desired and they come up against a very solid Japan side in round three.
Japan were clinical as they dismantled Tunisia last time out and were good value for their draw with the Oranje. With top spot still up for grabs in Group F, Samurai Blue can get the points against a Sweden side that were fortunate to qualify for the competition in the first place.
Warren Ashurst
DR Congo vs Uzbekistan – DR Congo to win at 4/5 with bet365
As poor as Portugal were, Sebastien Desabre’s men were impressive in their opening game draw with their European opponents.
DR Congo had just 24% possession in their Group K opener, but still managed to muster eight shots and had a higher xG (0.82) than Portugal.
In Newcastle’s Yoane Wissa and Real Betis’ Cedric Bakambu, they have two top-class forward players who will prove a real handful for the Uzbek backline.
