AFC Fylde find themselves in the relegation zone with ten games left to play, after back to back defeats on the last two weekends.

They host a Sutton United side who are in a comfortable midtable position in their first season back in the National League since 2021. It’s pretty much guaranteed that they’ll be playing at this level again next season, as they are 11 points above the relegation zone and 9 points off the play-offs.

Both teams have scored in 12 of Fylde’s 18 home games, including in six of their last eight games. Only one one team have scored more goals at home than Fylde in the bottom half of the table.

For Sutton, both teams have score in 11 of their 18 away games, including three of their last four. Their last nine home games have all been against teams in the top half table, of which they managed just win, so they will be looking forward to facing an easier opponent here.

Halifax have won three games in the spin to plan themselves firmly into the play-off positions, establishing an 8 point gap over 8th placed Altrincham. Most of their good work has come on the road this season it is fair to say, but they still have 29 points from 18 games at home.

Dagenham and Redbridge are outside the relegation zone on goal difference. They have been in freefall since the turn of the year, with their last league win coming on New Years Day, and even that was against rock bottom Ebbsfleet who are cut adrift at the foot of the table. Since then, they have picked up just five points from 39 available.

Halifax are unbeaten in a six game spell which saw them avoid defeat against 3rd place Forest Green and 2nd place York City. They will surely fancy their chances at consolidating their play-off position further.

Aldershot have put together a brilliant run of form, winning four of their last five games to move them away from the relegation zone. These wins all came against teams above them in the table, with 6th placed Gateshead their highest scalp. The other result was a draw at home to Dagenham & Redbridge.

They travel away to Maidenhead United, who come into the game off a win again Gateshead. That did however make it a third straight loss for Gateshead, who are now winless in five. Prior to the weekend, Maidenhead had lost four of their previous five games.

Both teams have scored in five of Aldershots last six games, with Aldershot winning four of them. Maidenhead’s home games are also usually good for both teams to score, which has occurred in 61% of their games. They have lost eight of 18 home games, and with Aldershot on the up we think that could increase to nine home losses.
