Tottenham v Liverpool
Kick Off: Sunday 22nd December at 16:30
Competition: Premier League
Liverpool travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after a busy midweek of EFL Cup action which saw both sides progress – these two will face off again in the semi-finals across two legs. On Sunday, Liverpool will look to extend their unbeaten run, while Spurs attempt to gather some momentum.
Tottenham v Liverpool Best Bet
Dominic Solanke has been the first line of defence for Spurs this season, pressing intensely from the front.
He is averaging 1.87 fouls per game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the league, landing this bet in four out of six matches. That includes against both Chelsea and Arsenal.
Solanke has been guilty of committing the most infringements for his side this campaign, highlighting his tendency to press aggressively.
Tottenham v Liverpool #WhatOddsPaddy Tip
Spurs were once again involved in a shootout midweek, as they narrowly edged past Man United by a 4-3 margin. This bet was let down by a single Tottenham corner in that game, although it’s worth noting that they did go 3-0 up.
Given how both sides tend to press strongly and play quite vertically, chances are expected at either end. Head-to-head matchups between these two sides have recently been goal-laden, as it finished 4-2 at Anfield the last time they met.
Liverpool managed just one card in that game, but Paul Tierney was the referee. Samuel Barrott has been much more willing to dish out the cards this campaign.
Tottenham v Liverpool Predicted XI
Tottenham v Liverpool Players to Watch
Luis Diaz
Luis Diaz was rested midweek against Southampton but is in line to start on the left here. The Colombian draws an excellent matchup on the wing against Pedro Porro, who drew four fouls from Man United last time out in the EFL Cup.
To add to that, the Colombian is currently averaging a staggering 2.14 fouls per 90 in the Premier League this season.
Heung-min Son
Heung-min Son has a fantastic record against Liverpool and has scored against the Reds in each of his last five outings. The South Korean comes into this clash in top form, having scored in each of his last three fixtures in all competitions.
Mohamed Salah
With 13 goals and nine assists in the league so far, no other Premier League player has contributed to more goals than Mo Salah, with the Egyptian landing this bet in 11 of his last 12 starts. He failed only against Real Madrid in that run but missed a penalty.

A 5-0 demolition over Southampton broke a three-game winless run in the Premier League for Ange Postecoglou, who has his side narrowly in the top half of the league. Even despite a plethora of injuries, Ange Postecoglou has held firm on his high-intensity play style.
Meanwhile, back-to-back league draws for Arne Slot has allowed Chelsea to get within touching distance, although the Reds remain in formidable form. Liverpool booked a spot in the EFL Cup semi-final midweek, edging out Southampton with a narrow 2-1 victory despite rotating the eleven.
