Tuesday’s Horse Racing Trixie Tips
Our first selection for Tuesday’s Trixie comes in the 15:10 at Market Rasen, where we have COURT CIAN, who is thriving since switching stables.
A seven-year-old gelding who made the switch to Stuart Edmunds yard in August last year after failing to win in his opening seven appearances for previous connections. A switch which has spurred on his career, Court Cian is producing career-best form, and given his performances of late, he will be tough to stop even with his 10lb rise.
Landing his first win in November at Uttoxeter, he was unlucky next time out when rallying to only lose by a neck at Doncaster before producing an impressive performance last time out. Barely breaking stride and easing right down at the line to win by 16 lengths, his 10lb rise was expected but he has clearly found a new level of late for Stuart Edmunds, and another bold showing is on the cards.
Our second selection for Tuesday’s Trixie comes in the 15:30 at Taunton, where we have CAMINO ROCIO, who is looking to land a four-timer here today.
A seven-year-old gelding who has seen a dramatic turnaround in his form after making the switch to Jim & Suzi Best’s yard in October last year, and he doesn’t look to be slowing down any time soon. Winning all three of his appearances since making the switch after being winless in his previous five chase starts, the switch has done him the world of good paired with a visor.
Wearing a visor in all three of his wins, this is retained for today’s affair, and although he is stepping down to a sharper 2m2f trip after winning over 2m5f last time out, this shouldn’t cause him any issues given his current mood. Producing a career-best performance when doing a demolition job at Market Rasen last time out, he cruised to a 12-length victory and still looks to have plenty more to come for his new stable.
Our final selection for Tuesday’s Trixie comes in the 17:00 at Newcastle, where we have TIME PATROL, who is looking to land a hat-trick here today.
A five-year-old gelding who has turned a corner of late racing off a low mark and the introduction of cheekpieces have really seen his racing improve. Ending his nine-race losing streak at Lingfield last month, racing in cheekpieces for the first time, he ran on well to defy 2/1 favourite Lilkian before winning again over course and distance here on Saturday.
Keen to keep him racing and after another strong performance with cheekpieces in action, they are retained for his third consecutive race. Receiving a 5lb penalty on the back of his latest performance, this doesn’t look enough to stop him from landing the hat-trick and he looks set to continue his rapid improvement.
