14.20 Blackbrook Primary Racing To School ‘Hands And Heels’ Handicap Hurdle
POTTLERATH has often needed his comeback run, but he’s 4Ib below his last winning mark and finished second in his last visit here. He could be thereabouts, while TIME TO DAZZLE won with plenty to spare at Fontwell last time out and must have more to come despite an 8Ib higher mark this time around.
Tips: Pottlerath, Time To Dazzle
14.50 Chetwood Investment Management Novices’ Hurdle
RYAN’S ROCKET produced a promising first effort over hurdles when second to subsequent dual Grade 2-placed Fiercely Proud in a C&D novice in December, and that is just about the best form on offer. This six-year-old can capitalise on the weight concession from Diamond Dice and go one place better.
Tips: Ryan’s Rocket
15.20 Corks And Cru Vintage Mares’ Handicap Hurdle
TUSCAN ROSE ran her best race to date when third at Southwell in January and must be respected from only a 1Ib higher mark. MALINA JAMILA isn’t the most consistent of horses, but she’s fallen to a dangerous mark, and a repeat of her earlier hurdles form and bumper would surely see her go close against these.
Tips: Tuscan Rose, Malina Jamila
15.50 Royal Bath & West Show Handicap Chase
LOUP DE MOULDE scored four times at this sort of trip last year and made an emphatic return to chasing at Huntingdon when drawing clear to score by seven lengths. He should take plenty of beating, though recent Wincanton winner MOYTIER is feared, with Harry Cobden retained to ride. It is difficult to see past these two.
Tips: Loup De Moulde, Moytier
16.20 Fowey Lifeboat 165 Years Handicap Hurdle
WOLF PRINCE is a very capable horse on his day, and while his two most recent efforts have hardly been encouraging, a repeat of his placed efforts at Market Rasen and Perth, which came in tougher company, would suffice here. CELTIC ART is only 2Ib higher than when he last got his head in front and will be suited to conditions, while the consistent AMELIA’S DANCE is another to consider.
Tips: Wolf Prince, Celtic Art, Amelia’s Dance
16.50 Royal National Lifeboat Institution Mares’ Handicap Chase
JANE DU BERLAIS has failed to complete each of her last five starts, but she was still travelling well when she fell in her penultimate start and is worth another chance dropped in grade. COME ON DU BERLAIS shaped well when third on her chase debut at Ludlow last month and could find improvement with headgear attached.
Tips: Jane Du Berlais, Come On Du Berlais
