Surrey to Win Outright – 3/1 with bet365
Surrey are last season’s T20 Blast finalists, and we reckon they’ve got what it takes to go one better this year. It’s a star-studded squad, with the likes of Sam Curran, Jamie Smith, Jason Roy and Adam Zampa, to name a few. One issue they might face is their availability due to their international commitments. However, most counties will face the same problems, and their core squad of players is incredible.
We considered both Somerset and Lancashire instead of Surrey, but what swayed it was the balance of the team. They got everything from explosive batters to tricky spin bowlers, and everything in between. They’re a big game club, and we’re backing them to get their first win since 2003. Current T20 Blast winner odds of 3/1 are just enough to get us excited and hang our hat on this one.
Will Smead (Somerset) to Score the Most Runs
2025 has become a breakout season for Will Smeed. The Englishman looks on top of his game right now, and we’re backing him to carry this form into the Blast. He’s an explosive right-handed bat, but more than that, he’s consistent. In 2022, he was one of the first domestic players to sign a white-ball-only contract, meaning he’d specialise in the T20 and one-day games. It’s safe to say it’s worked, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see an international call-up sooner rather than later.

This is where you bet on the overall T20 Blast winner. It’s as straightforward as they come and offers longer odds for each of the counties than individual game odds. Generally, you get the best T20 Blast betting odds at the start, but keep monitoring this, as there’s still value as the tournament progresses.
The top run scorer is exactly that; bet on the player who will score the most runs in the tournament. It’s always best to try to pick players who play for teams that might go deep (Surrey, Somerset, Lancashire, Birmingham Bears, etc.), as they play more games and have a better chance of racking up more runs.
Similar to most runs, but this time for the bowler and wickets. All you need to do is pick the player who’ll take the most wickets. Spinners often top the market in the T20 Blast betting, so this is a good angle for this market.

Don’t Miss a Wicket with T20 Blast Livestreaming
TV rights in the UK are with Sky Sports, and you need to send a bit of gold to Rupert Murdoch and co. to access the games, as it’s a paid subscription. For any games that aren’t on Sky Sports, you can create an account on the ECB site and watch them via that.

Key Teams to Watch
We’re stacked with talent in the English domestic game, and T20 blast results can be hard to predict. So, we’ve highlighted some of the bigger teams for this season and given our 2p on why they’re ranked as one of the best.
Somerset are always there or thereabouts. They won in 2023, setting a record for the most wins (15), and were runners-up in 2024. Their explosive batting lineup is packed with big hitters who have featured in the Indian Premier League and Pakistan Super League, complemented perfectly by a wily bowling attack. Combine that with a relatively small ground at Taunton, and you’ve an absolute box-office, must-watch, T20 Blast outfit.
The Manchester City of the cricket world. Surrey has the superstar power that most counties can only dream of. They get huge crowds at the Oval and are supplemented by regular Test and ODI games to boost their income. As a result, they splash the cash for the limited-overs team and include the likes of Sam and Tom Curran, Jason Roy and Will Jacks who dominate the cricket betting news. But, rather shockingly, have only won it once, way back in the inaugural 2003 tournament.
Hampshire have won the tournament a record-equalling three times. They top most of the T20 Blast match odds, and rightly so, given how dominant they’ve been. James Vince has been a huge reason why they’ve been so good over the last decade, but don’t overlook their home advantage at the Ageas Bowl. It’s notoriously hard to defend scores at, and they stack their team with spinners and prime death bowlers. They might not have the curb appeal of the Surreys and Somersets of the world, but dismiss the Hawks at your peril.
T20 Blast Finals Day
The 18 teams are split into two groups based on geographical location: North and South. With nine teams in each group, the teams all play each other home and away before the top four from both groups advance to the quarterfinals. The four winners from the T20 Blast quarter finals then make it to finals day proper.
Finals day takes place at Edgbaston and will include both semi-finals and the final in what is one of the best days of cricket in the country. The 2025 T20 Blast finals day takes place on Saturday, 13th September. The first game usually kicks off around 10am, before the final, which starts at 6pm.
