Leeds to Win & BTTS v Portsmouth
Competition: Championship
Kick Off: Sunday 9th March at 12:00
Odds: 3.25
Leeds look to continue their march towards the Championship title with a trip to Portsmouth up next for Daniel Farke’s side who have picked up some big wins recently and have seen BTTS in each of their last three games, managing to come out on top in two of these against Sunderland and Sheffield United.
They travel to face a Portsmouth side that has pulled away from the relegation fight in recent weeks to establish an eight point gap between themselves and. Luton. Portsmouth usually give quite a good account of themselves at home, John Mousinho’s side have scored 26 goals across their 17 home games this season which indicates that Leeds could struggle to keep out the home side here.
Leeds are pretty decent travellers to match this promising home record that Portsmouth have boasted this season. They’ve only lost two of their 17 away assignments in the Championship this season, scoring 27 in the process and conceding just 13. This defensive record is likely to be tested by Portsmouth given their impressive home record in the Championship this season.
The initial meeting between the sides ended in a 3-3 draw at Elland Road in which Leeds showed their dominance in the underlying numbers but needed a 95th minute equaliser to get something from the game. Leeds’ tendency to scrap for results in recent weeks should see them over the line here but not without a Portsmouth pushback which should see the home side find the back of the net at least once.
Napoli to Win & BTTS v Fiorentina
Competition: Serie A
Kick Off: Sunday 9th March at 14:00
Odds: 4.00
Napoli have seen BTTS in each of their last five games across all competitions, they’ve drawn four of these games but will need to get back to winning ways quickly if they want to keep pace with Inter and Atalanata in the Serie A battle for supremacy. Fiorentina travel to Naples having won just one of their last five games across all competitions, losing the other four so these are two teams that both need a positive result to inject some energy into their season again.
Napoli have been strong at home barring this recent run of form, Antonio Conte’s side have won nine of their 13 home games this season, scoring 19 goals in the process and conceding just nine. This is the best defensive home record in the division but recent form suggests that Napoli will be a bit tentative at the back in this encounter. Fiorentina have scored 19 goals across their 13 away assignments in Serie A this season.
Napoli ran out 3-0 winners in the initial meeting between these sides but Fiorentina still carried a significant goal threat as evidenced by the fact that they generated an xG of 1.13 with 14 shots on goal. Napoli are unlikely to be able to put up the defensive resolve to keep a clean sheet here given their recent run of poor form, Fiorentina can’t be backed to run away with the game given their similarly poor form of late which should result in Napoli getting back to winning ways but not without conceding in this crucial game in shaping the Serie A title race.

Real Betis to Win & BTTS v Las Palmas
Competition: La Liga
Kick Off: Sunday 9th March at 17:30
Odds: 3.20
Real Betis welcome Las Palmas in a clash that has repercussions at both ends of the LaLiga table. Manuel Pellegrini’s side sit 6th in LaLiga and recently saw off title challengers Real Madrid at the Bernabeu by a 2-1 scoreline. Las Palmas are still embroiled in a relegation battle at the bottom of Spain’s top flight with just goal difference keeping them outside the drop zone at this stage.
Betis have seen BTTS in each of their last three games across all competitions, managing to win two of these fixtures against Real Madrid and Getafe with the exception coming against Vitoria in the Conference League where they played out a 2-2 draw. Betis have plenty of reasons to be optimistic but may struggle to keep out a Las Palmas side that have seen BTTS in four of their last five games, coming out on the losing side in three of these fixtures.
Las Palmas have scored 15 goals across their 13 away trips in LaLiga this season – only Deportivo Alaves and Celta Vigo have scored more goals on the road than Las Palmas in the bottom half of LaLiga. Betis have scored 21 goals across their 13 home games, conceding 15 in the process.
The initial meeting between these sides saw BTTS but fell just short of a Betis win. However, Betis were pretty dominant in the game and could have added to their advantage considering they had more shots, shots on target, and generated a higher xG than their opponents (1.93-1.00).
