Welbeck has enjoyed a brilliant season so far for Brighton considering the fact that the former Arsenal and Manchester United forward is 34. He enters this game with momentum having scored in each of his last two games against Bournemouth and Newcastle, the latter of which sent Brighton through to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

Welbeck is averaging 0.92 shots on target per 90 across his 20 appearances in the Premier League this season, which is a record that has returned seven goals for the veteran striker. He currently sits as Brighton’s joint-top scorer alongside Kaoru Mitoma and Joao Pedro.

Brighton should be able to create chances for their forwards here, Fabian Hurzeler’s side have won each of their last five games across all competitions and scored two or more goals in each of those games. By contrast, Fulham are without a clean sheet in any of their last five games across all competitions and failed to keep Brighton out in the initial meeting between these sides, in which Welbeck didn’t feature.

Liam Delap is Ipswich’s only chance of fighting their way to survival in the Premier League for another season. The 22-year-old is far and away Ipswich’s top scorer in the Premier League this campaign with 10 goals to his name.

We’re pitting him up against Jefferson Lerma here with the most obvious difference between the two players being their positioning, Lerma lines up as a central midfielder often with defensive instructions whilst Delap leads the line for Ipswich.

Lerma is averaging 0.43 shots on target per 90 across his 22 Premier League appearances this season, and is yet to find the back of the net this campaign suggesting that this is a mismatch in which Delap can find the target more regularly than Lerma.
