This horse has been a strong selection of mine recently over two and a half miles at Fairyhouse when he got an inadequate ride and had no chance from a long way out before staying on late for place money. The step up in trip with be no issue and I strongly believe he is considerably the best horse in this field. He won’t find many better opportunities to double his tally over hurdles and I think he will be incredibly hard to beat.

This Malinas gelding won with consummate ease last time and extended two miles and six furlongs and I think the hike of 6lbs in the ratings that the handicapper gave him was very lenient. The extra couple of furlongs here will help him if anything and I think he will take a hell of a lot of beating once again. He hasn’t the services of Darragh O’Keeffe here, but Philip Enright is an able deputy. With a smooth trip round he should have too much for his rivals.

This son of Ask hails from the Tim Doyle stable and though he is a nine-year-old who still has plenty of scope for improvement. He’s had three runs in handicaps since he made his breakthrough in a maiden over course and distance. He loves this track having ran really well here on several occasions and his style of racing really suits this track. He’s a bold front runner and I think 114 is a very workable mark.

The one negative is the lack of a run this season but if he comes here ready to rock, he would be very hard to knock out of the frame at a double figure price and is well worth an each way bet.
