Wednesday Tips at Punchestown – Dan James Racing
This horse absolutely bolted up at Cheltenham and that performance was so impressive. The 3m trip worked a treat and she remains at the 3m trip here. Paul Townend keeps the ride, and I can see zero negatives. Ground to suit also and she can win again.
I would be extremely disappointed if Galopin Des Champs couldn’t beat this field after being beaten at Cheltenham. I don’t think Banbridge will stay the trip, Spillane’s Tower is also not certain to enjoy the distance, and I would have strong odds on here. He’s the class act and can make light of this four-runner field.
The young jockey riding takes off 7lb meaning this horse essentially gets in here off a mark of 107. This is a race Jp McManus targets very well and he won nicely off a mark of 111 two runs ago. His sixth last time is better than the result suggests, having always been doing his best work at the finish. If he is delivered earlier here, he has every chance in this wide-open handicap.
