12.05 – Alpha Aggregates Handicap Hurdle (Female Amateur Jockeys) – 2m5f
WHATSUPWITHYOU ran a decent race when he finished midfield in a much stronger race than this at Cheltenham last time out and is 2Ib below his last winning mark. THE HEIGHT OF FAME returned to winning ways at Wincanton in October and is feared most.
Tips: Whatsupwithyou, The Height Of Fame
12.40 – Tanners Claret Handicap Chase – 2m7f
MUSICAL SLAVE unfortunately didn’t take the cross-country course at Cheltenham last time, but he’s evidently well-handicapped and is back on his last winning mark. If he puts in an error-free round of jumping, he’s a massive player, while BOBHOPEORNOHOPE won this twelve months ago and should fare better than he has done of late.
Tips: Musical Slave, Bobhopeornohope
13.15 – Tanners Wines Fillies’ Junior ‘National Hunt’ Hurdle – 1m7f
It’s one-a-piece between DAMEOFTHECOTSWOLDS and LOVE TREE, who have been in front of each other the two times they have met, and it’s hard to separate them again here. The former comprehensively reversed form with the latter when successful at Huntingdon, and both are expected to be competitive in this race.
Tips: Dameofthecotswolds, Love Tree
13.50 – Tanners Champagne Handicap Chase – 1m7f
SACRE COEUR has been set some stiff tasks the last twice since completing a double in October and will relish these calmer waters. FEEL THE PINCH won over C&D last month and has a chance on that form, while GABRIEL’S GETAWAY and DR T J ECKLEBURG cannot be ruled either, given the form they have both been in this year.
Tips: Sacre Coeur, Feel The Pinch, Gabriel’s Getaway, Dr T J Eckleburg
14.25 – Shuker Build EBF Mares’ ‘National Hunt’ Novices’ Hurdle – 2m5f
LIFTING VERSE won a listed bumper race last winter and opened her account over C&D at the second time of asking over hurdles last month. I am aware she has to shoulder a penalty, but she is the solid option in this contest and should be difficult to beat. It is hard to see her out of the frame, with plenty more to come.
Tips: Lifting Verse
15.00 – G.C.Rickards Ltd Handicap Chase – 2m4f
MINELLA CHOICE ran a decent race when third on his handicap debut back in April, and given that he’s progressing with each start, he must be considered a leading contender on his chase debut. CARTONNE won easily at Doncaster last month and is feared, while AMERICAN GERRY is another to consider in a tricky race.
Tips: Minella Choice, Cartonne, American Gerry
