13.42 – bet365 Handicap Hurdle
BREWIN’UPASTORM makes a rare appearance in a handicap, and this multiple Grade 2 winning hurdler must have serious claims. Former Triumph Hurdle winner PENTLAND HILLS should also feature if he stays, while the unexposed pair of THE KALOOKI KID and SERIOUS OPERATOR are others to consider in this competitive opener.
Tips: Brewin’upastorm, Pentland Hills, The Kalooki Kid, Serious Operator
14.17 – bet365 Premier Novices’ Hurdle
JANGO BAIE has the strongest form on offer, having won a Grade 1 in his penultimate start before finishing second at Huntingdon behind an unbeaten and exciting prospect. He should go well, while his biggest danger might turn out to be PERSONAL AMBITION, who is also two from three in this sphere and represents the in-form Ben Pauling team.
Tips: Jango Baie, Personal Ambition
14.50 – bet365 Morebattle Hurdle
UNDER CONTROL makes plenty of appeal on the back of her excellent second at Doncaster when she split two Grade 1 winners. She should be difficult to beat. SKYCUTTER was smart on the flat and returned an easy winner in this sphere last time out, so he can be shortlisted, as can the well-treated BASS ROCK, who represents last year’s winning handler.
Tips: Under Control, Skycutter, Bass Rock
15.25 – bet365 Premier Chase
AYE RIGHT has been solid in defeat in all three starts this season and only found one too good at Warwick last time out. He knows his way around here off the back of his hand and could be about to gain overdue success. MINELLA DRAMA has twice made the frame at the highest level and must have an excellent chance if he stays the distance.
Tips: Aye Right, Minella Drama
16.00 – bet365 Cyril Alexander Memorial Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase
SPECIAL RATE has been on a roll in the last nine months, winning seven of his last eight starts, and could go in again from an unchanged mark from his latest success. CHASING FIRE will find this easier than the race he contested last time out and cannot be ruled out after just four Chase starts.
Tips: Special Rate, Chasing Fire
16.35 – bet365 Juvenile Hurdle
DJERBANNI won once and placed four times in five starts on the flat in France and is very interesting on his stable/hurdle debut here. Nicky Henderson’s GOVERNOR OF INDIA was also useful on the flat and should be thereabouts on his hurdles debut.
Tips: Djerbanni, Governor Of India
