Tottenham vs Newcastle – Newcastle to win at 5/4 with bet365
Newcastle ended 2024 with five consecutive victories in all competitions and they can kick off 2025 with a win at Tottenham, who have slipped down to 11th in the Premier League table.
The Magpies recorded a routine 2-0 triumph at Manchester United last time out, making it back-to-back away successes, and they can make it three on the spin against a Spurs side that have taken one point from the last nine on offer.
Ange Postecoglou finds himself under pressure following a 6-3 loss to Liverpool, a 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest and a 2-2 draw against Wolves, results which have seen the club fall away from the European places.
Newcastle have won four of the last five meetings against Spurs and Eddie Howe’s men can continue their fine run of form at the hosts’ expense.

Bournemouth vs Everton – Bournemouth at 8/11 with bet365
The promoted teams find themselves in the bottom three spots in the Premier League, but Everton have been particularly underwhelming in the last few weeks and they won’t relish a trip to Bournemouth.
Sean Dyche’s side earned a 1-1 in their last away game at Manchester City and earned recent goalless draws against Arsenal and Chelsea, but they have scored in just two of their last nine games.
The Cherries, meanwhile, have beaten both the Citizens and the Gunners at the Vitality Stadium this season and head into Saturday’s game undefeated in their last seven outings, so Andoni Iraola’s team, who will be delighted to start the new year in seventh spot, can earn another victory to fuel their ambitions of European football for next term.

Lille vs Nantes – Lille over 1.5 team goals at 8/11 with bet365
Nantes have picked up just one point from the last 15 available on the road and they have conceded some 13 goals in this run. Four of them have seen the visitors ship two or more goals, while Lille are in the running for a top-four finish and have been scoring at will lately.
Les Dogues have scored at least twice in four of their last six in all competitions and have notched six times in their last two home fixtures, while they have put two past Nantes in each of their last three meetings.
James Milton
Crystal Palace vs Chelsea – Crystal Palace or draw double chance at 5/6 with bet365
Chelsea’s hopes of putting pressure on Premier League leaders Liverpool have been dented by some poor results over the festive period and they may be running into Crystal Palace at the wrong time.
The Blues were held to a 0-0 draw at Everton before post-Christmas defeats at home to Fulham and away to Ipswich, who had failed to win any of their previous nine league games at Portman Road.
Palace have picked up well after a tough start to the campaign, losing only two of their last 11 league matches. They drew 1-1 with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in September and can frustrate the Blues once again.
Gareth Freeman
Wrexham vs Peterborough – Wrexham win & BTTS at 9/4 with bet365
Wrexham have a decent chance of completing back-to-back promotions and they can continue their push for a place in the Championship by seeing off visitors Peterborough on Saturday.
Phil Parkinson’s side have the best home record in the league with 11 wins and no defeats in 13 games, while Peterborough arrive in poor form with just one point to show from their last four games.
Wrexham have gone four games without a clean sheet, however, and Posh have managed an impressive 41 goals in their 23 League One games – a total only bettered by pacesetters Wycombe – so back the visitors to strike in defeat at the Racecourse.
Aaron Rogan
Verona vs Udinese – Both teams to score at 4/5 with bet365
Verona have failed to keep a clean sheet in their previous 15 Serie A matches, while they have the worst defensive record in the league this term. The struggling hosts take on an Udinese side who have conceded in each of their nine away trips this season.
Udinese have stepped things up going forward and they’ve seen both teams find the net in six of their last seven league games. Both teams look capable going forward and wayward defensively, so both teams to score stands out.
