Stockport vs Bolton – Both teams to score at 3/4 with bet365

Bolton’s trip to Stockport is one of the more intriguing fixtures on the opening weekend of League One action and the Sunday lunchtime clash at Edgeley Park should bring goals for both teams.

Bolton scored in their final seven away games of last season and Steven Schumacher’s side should be full of confidence after an unbeaten pre-season campaign.

County were impressive at home in their first season after promotion, winning 16 of their 23 games and losing only one of their last 12 at home, so a decent contest with goals at both ends can be expected.

Tom Hill

Dundee FC vs Hibernian – Over 3.5 goals at 7/4 with bet365

A massive 17 points separated the two clubs last season but an entertaining game should be expected at Dens Park on Sunday. Hibernian finished third and seven places higher than their hosts last season, but they have looked inconsistent in pre-season and may need time to settle down into their rhythm.

Dundee did enough to avoid relegation and will look to build on their recent Scottish League Cup form, where they have scored eight goals in two matches. All three meetings last season contained at least four goals and another entertaining battle should be on the cards.

Ian Wilkerson

Charleroi vs Sint-Truiden – Charleroi at 1/1 with bet365

Charleroi suffered the disappointment of being knocked out of the Conference League by Swedish side Hammarby on Thursday, but they have a good chance to bounce back against Sint-Truiden in their second match of the Belgian season.

The visitors have won just once in their last 16 visits and while they got their campaign off to a winning start with a 3-0 win over Gent, their away form is uninspiring.

Two wins in their last 14 road games does little to inspire and Charleroi will have been lifted by scoring two injury-time goals to earn a point at Leuven in their opener last weekend.

The home team have been defeated in just one of their last 14 games and have enough about them to land a first league win of the season.

Henry Hardwicke

Falkirk v Dundee United – Falkirk at 17/20 with bet365

Falkirk will be in good spirits on their return to the William Hill Premiership and the Bairns can get their top-flight campaign off to a winning start.

John McGlynn has kept faith with the bulk of the squad which was promoted from the Championship last season and Falkirk look to have plenty in their favour when they host Dundee United.

The Falkirk Stadium will be packed with home support on Sunday and the artificial pitch is another advantage for the Bairns.

Dundee United were in Luxembourg on Thursday night and it’s a tight turnaround for the Terrors.

Gareth Freeman

Botafogo vs Cruzeiro – Botafogo to win at 23/20 with bet365

Botafogo’s hopes of defending the title in Brazil look slim but they can have their say in this season’s race by overcoming challengers Cruzerio on Sunday.

Fogo are unbeaten at home in this competition after seven games, and across all competitions they are on a 12-game unbeaten run at this venue – with nine wins.

Cruzeiro are two points off top spot but have hit a bit of a rough patch. The visitors are winless in their last three games across all competitions and have scored just one goal during that period.

Now may be a good time to face Cruzeiro and Fogo look worth backing at an odds-against price to make the most of their home advantage on Sunday evening.

Aaron Rogan

HamKam vs Bodo Glimt – Bodo Glimt -1 at 10/11 with bet365

HamKam have lost all four of their clashes with the top four so far this term. Not only have those matches ended in defeat, but the hosts have lost them by an aggregate score of 13-3, with each defeat coming by a two-goal margin or greater.

Bodo Glimt won 3-0 at home when these two sides last met and they head into this encounter on a five-game winning run as they continue their title charge. Their last away trip saw them beat leaders Viking 4-2, so back a comfortable win at third-bottom HamKam.
