Lens vs Lille – Lille to win at 19/10 with bet365
Lille have won three games on the bounce, including a 7-1 victory at Lorient in their last away game. The visitors are averaging 3.25 goals per game in Ligue 1 so far, securing 10 points.
They head to a Lens side who have beaten two sides below them in the league, losing to two of the early top four. Last season, Lens won only one of their home meetings with the seven sides that finished above them. They lost four of those matches, including a clash with Lille.
Ian Wilkerson
Manchester United vs Chelsea – Chelsea at 29/20 with bet365
Manchester United were outclassed by City in last week’s derby and it is difficult to see life getting much better for the Red Devils when they host Chelsea.
Ruben Amorim’s stubborn insistence that his tactical approach can eventually reap rewards is beginning to wear a bit thin, and the visiting Blues are just the out of outfit who can expose their lack of strength in the middle of the pitch.
Enzo Maresca’s Londoners have to pick themselves up from the disappointment of a 3-1 Champions League defeat at Bayern Munich on Wednesday, but that lose included a Trevor Chalobah own goal and a Harry Kane penalty.
The Blues should be right up there in the title chase this season, something that seems a world away for their Old Trafford hosts and the points look set to head back down south.
Phil Agius
West Ham v Crystal Palace – Crystal Palace at 11/8 with bet365
Crystal Palace remain unbeaten in eight league and cup matches this season and while six of those games have been draws after 90 minutes, it’s no surprise to see the Eagles as favourites to win as West Ham.
Hammers manager Graham Potter is in real trouble as his side have been thrashed in their first two home league games by London rivals Chelsea and Tottenham, conceding eight goals and scoring only one.
They could fall to another London derby defeat against a solid Palace outfit who have conceded only one goal in four Premier League games.
Dan Childs
Blackburn vs Ipswich – Ipswich at Evs with bet365
Championship promotion chasers Ipswich experienced lift off with last Friday’s thumping 5-0 victory at home to Sheffield United and they can follow by defeating Blackburn at Ewood Park.
Both teams are sat on six points after five matches but Ipswich have the stronger squad and are sure to have been energised by their first success of the campaign.
Blackburn doubled their points tally with last Saturday’s well-deserved 1-0 win at Watford.
However, the Lancashire side have suffered successive home defeats and may struggle to cope with the resurgent Tractor Boys, who are keen to atone for their slow start to the campaign.
Warren Ashurst
Walsall vs Tranmere – Walsall to win @ 19/20 with bet365
Walsall look intent on making up for missing out on promotion from League Two last season, with the Saddlers collecting 16 points from their first eight games.
Mat Sadler’s men are unbeaten in five in all competitions (four wins and one draw) and have won three of their four games at the Bescot Stadium.
In contrast, after a bright start, Tranmere have slipped to 16th after failing to win any of their last three league games. Rovers lost 5-1 in this fixture last season.
Joe Casey
Brighton vs Tottenham – Tottenham draw no bet at 6/5 with bet365
Considering the start to the season Tottenham have had, it is a surprise to see Brighton as short as 5/4 when they host Spurs this weekend.
Thomas Frank has hit the ground running immediately, with four wins from five games in all competitions, and all four of those successes have been paired with a clean sheet.
They may not have been at their fluent best against Villarreal in midweek, but they look much more defensively sound than they did last season and their physicality could be a big advantage against Brighton.
The Seagulls have won just one of their four league matches and Tottenham are fancied in the draw no bet market.
