13:40 CRS Building Supplies ‘National Hunt’ Maiden Hurdle
The opening race on the card is very weak, but it should present ISOCRATE with an excellent opportunity to open his account over hurdles. For a backup option, PIRATES’ TALE could be the way to go.
TIPS: ISOCRATE, PIRATES’ TALE
14:10 Klargester Handicap Hurdle
The one to beat in the second race is DONNACHA. He was punching above his weight in the Betfair Hurdle last time out but ran with credit to finish midfield and should get back on track in this easier grade. The January course winner, MOOREFIELDS, can also be shortlisted.
TIPS: DONNACHA, MOOREFIELDS
14:40 Harry Moore Isuzu Truck Handicap Chase
MOORLAND RAMBLER won at this course last winter and has displayed promise in each of his three chase starts. He could go well. BONZA BOY finished second over C&D last time out, and he is feared most.
TIPS: MOORLAND RAMBLER, BONZA BOY
15:10 Westexe Forklifts Ltd Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase
The Gary Moore-trained GOSHEN disappointed in his two previous starts over fences but remains the class act in the field and should be winning this if the cheekpieces have a positive impact. The consistent FINE CASTING shouldn’t be underestimated.
TIPS: GOSHEN, FINE CASTING
15:40 Keystone Group Handicap Chase
SUPERVISOR looked on good terms with himself when successful at Ludlow last week. Despite being penalised for that victory, he is an appealing proposition. BAMPTON STAR is open to improvement and can be played as a cover.
TIPS: SUPERVISOR, BAMPTON STAR
16:10 Brett Martin Novices’ Handicap Hurdle
ACTIVIST has won his last two starts impressively and should be able to complete a third straight win today, with more to come. Handicap debutant LOVERDOSE could improve enough to get involved.
TIPS: ACTIVIST, LOVERDOSE
