Bournemouth v West Ham

📅

Kick Off: Monday 16th December at 20:00

🏆

Competition: Premier League

Bournemouth and West Ham square off at The Vitality in the Premier League on Monday night, the Cherries are only three points adrift of the top four and are chasing their fourth consecutive win. As for West Ham a 2-1 win over Wolves last Monday probably saved boss Julen Lopetegui his job, but he could be straight back into the limelight given West Ham’s recent poor away record with just one win in six.

West Ham to have 13+ Shots

This could be quite an open game and end-to-end. The overall match shots are likely to be very high but taking West Ham individually to have 13 or more looks tremendous value. The Hammers average 15 shots per game in the Premier League this season and racked up a huge 31 in their most recent road match at Leicester.

They won’t be as dominant here but they possess a team full of individuals who love to shoot from range and they also rack up easy cheap shots from set pieces. Bournemouth concede 12.70 corners per game and are hardly watertight. Ipswich racked up 18 attempts vs them last week and West Ham are underrated in this market.

Evanilson to Score First for Bournemouth & Jarrod Bowen to Score First for West Ham

Evanilson has gone slightly cold recently but scored in three straight games not so long ago. He’s playing upfront as the starting striker and might be on penalty-taking duty if Justin Kluivert isn’t on the field. 3 of his 4 goals this season were scored first for his team. Jarrod Bowen might also be on penalty-taking duty for West Ham but his overall threat from open play makes him a likely contender to score first for the visitors

🔍Bournemouth v West Ham Players to Watch

🟣 Jarrod Bowen

The former Hull man is the most reliable player West Ham have. He’s currently captain on the field and is professional, reliable and a very good player. Bowen has come alive in the last two Monday night matches and seems to enjoy the limelight on him for these occasions. He’s the first player who is down for the big interviews and often delivers on his words.

Bowen caused Newcastle all sorts of problems before being the stand-out man vs Wolves last week, both scoring and assisting. This is the market that is most sensible to back him in because it gives two viable options to win. He’s racked up 4 goals and 4 assists this season and can add to that category here.

🟣 Tomas Soucek

He got the ball rolling for West Ham last week by netting the opening goal vs Wolves and it was no surprise to see him head home a corner. Soucek is absolutely lethal in the air and a total menace from any set pieces. At times, his height makes him undefendable so Bournemouth are just going to have to do their best to limit him. T

he Czech international has been in especially good form racking up 12 shots from his last four games, including a mammoth five attempts vs Leicester. Even if his efforts go miles off target, taking him just to have two or more shots looks well within his reach here.

🔴 Lewis Cook

No team averages more fouls per game than Bournemouth with 13.70 per game and their style of pressing and engagement leads to them racking up several cautions. There’s a lot of different candidates but midfielder Lewis Cook stands out as a great option to commit multiple offences here. He averages 2.10 fouls per 90 mins which isn’t a shock considering where he plays on the field.

He’s probably only this price because West Ham are the lowest-fouled team in the EPL, but they have Mohammed Kudus back from suspension now which should see that stat rise. There are also players such as Jarrod Bowen, Crysencio Summerville and Lucas Paqueta who are all tricky players to handle.
