The dust has barely settled on Saturday’s action, but already our experts are casting their gaze ahead to midweek’s huge clashes on the continent.

First up is Tuesday’s tie in Milan, where Barcelona will be looking for a more positive result after the sensational 3-3 draw that played out in Catalunya last week, before Arsenal head to the French capital hoping to overturn a shock deficit.

We’ve asked our team of four experts to tell us how they expect the second legs of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals to play out, with all four of us agreeing!

Last week’s six-goal thriller in Catalunya was a fantastic spectacle for the neutral, but Barcelona fans will understandably feel hard done by. The Catalan side had over 70% possession and outshot their opponents 19 to seven, hitting the target nine times to Inter Milan’s three.

The Nerazzurri are winless in five competitive games and I expect them to come undone against a Barcelona side that look destined for a trophy-laden season.

PSG were excellent at the Emirates and I don’t expect them to give any ground back in the French capital on Wednesday. This is a far cry from Les Parisiens’ ego-driven squads of yesteryear, so I don’t foresee another famous Champions League capitulation from the Ligue 1 champions, who have had the luxury of keeping many of their key players fresh.

Joe Casey

Paris Saint-Germain should be able to keep Arsenal, who are missing a striker, at arm’s length in the French capital. The hosts are also extremely dangerous on the counter so I can see them progressing.

Inter may feel like they let Barcelona get away with one after letting the Catalan club pull it back to 3-3 after the Italians were leading 2-0 and I’ll go for Hansi Flick’s side to win a nailbiter on penalties.

Aidan Perkins

Arsenal have it all to do and while I think they will be competitive in Paris, I think Luis Enrique’s talented PSG team will get the job done.

The other game is in the balance after an outstanding first leg. I expect more fireworks at the San Siro and fancy Barca to edge it overall.

I thought Arsenal would have a lead to take to Paris, where they would eventually succumb to the French champions. A one-goal deficit looks to play into PSG’s hands and Luis Enrique’s men should have enough to make the final.

I take Barcelona to just edge out Inter Milan in the other semi, with their extra firepower proving crucial at the San Siro.
