Post: Doncaster Place 6 preview | 23rd March

13.20 William Hill Doncaster Mile Stakes
The Roger Varian-trained CHARYN should be hard to beat in the opener. He is a Group 2 winner who placed several times in Group 1 races last season and takes a big drop in grade for this reappearance. He goes well fresh and is fancied to make his class count against these.
Tips: CHARYN

13.50 William Hill EBF Brocklesby Stakes
This race should work out well. ATHERSTONE WARRIOR represents trainer Alice Haynes, who has enjoyed success with two-year-olds, and any market support would help, while ETTORINO and THEATRICALLY are other interesting participants in what is a competitive renewal.
Tips: ATHERSTONE WARRIOR, ETTORINO, THEATRICALLY

14.25 William Hill Epic Boost Spring Mile Handicap
DIRTYOLDTOWN returned a comfortable winner at Newmarket when last spotted and remains well treated on some of his previous form, particularly his second here in 2022. He has outstanding frame claims, at least, while last year’s winner, HARSWELL DUKE, is weighted to potentially become a back-to-back winner of the race.
Tips: DIRTYOLDTOWN, HARSWELL DUKE

15.00 William Hill Cammidge Trophy Stakes
MARSHMAN has a good record when fresh, and this Group 3 winner from last season has to be considered a serious threat to all in this line-up if he can prove himself on the ground. ADAAY IN DEVON will need a personal best to beat these, but she’s won four of her last six starts and could be involved.
Tips: MARSHMAN, ADAAY IN DEVON

15.35 William Hill Lincoln
MIGRATION has no easy task in attempting to follow up on last year’s win, but he will love the ground and win this very smoothly last year from only a four-pound lower mark. JOHAN is another former winner of this race who goes well fresh and won’t go down without a fight, while former Irish Lincoln winner LATTAM remains very well handicapped with plenty in his favour.
Tips: MIGRATION, JOHAN, LATTAM

16.10 William Hill Epic Value Maiden Stakes
HARPER’S FERRY shaped with lots of promise when he only just failed to beat an experienced rival on debut, and this Derby entry should be hard to beat with more to offer. ANCIENT MYTH also only found one too good when second on his debut and is another to consider.
Tips: HARPER’S FERRY, ANCIENT MYTH
