The first World Cup semi-final is a clash worthy of a final. Just as they did at the Euros two years ago, Spain take on France in the final four.

While Spain’s style of play has been criticised, Cucurella isn’t afraid to commit to their attacks from left-back. With Nico Williams out, the former Chelsea man offers them an added threat down the left flank.
Cucurella has recorded a shot on target in half of his appearances so far, including the quarter-final win over Belgium. Even in a high-stakes semi-final he’s expected to get forward, so back Cucurella to record another shot on target.
Adrien Rabiot to be carded
Rabiot has been France’s water carrier throughout this tournament, offering cover behind an incredible forward line. The midfielder leads all France players with nine fouls at this World Cup, and this clash against Spain’s elite midfield represents his biggest test to date.
Rabiot picked up a yellow card when these two sides met in the Nations League semi-finals in 2025, and he’s backed for another caution on Tuesday.
Rodri 1+ shots
Rodri has been key to Spain’s possession-heavy style, but he’s also proven to be an attacking threat. He has attempted a shot in five of his six appearances at this World Cup, recording six in total.
Rodri has taken a shot in all three of their knockout matches, and he’s backed to have another effort at goal in the semis.
Lamine Yamal to commit 2+ fouls
Laime Yamal hasn’t hit his stride since returning from injury, but the teenager has been involved defensively for Spain as their quality of opposition has improved.
He’s made no fewer than eight fouls in the knockout rounds of this World Cup, including five against Portugal in the last 16. With France set to pose their biggest test of the summer, back Yamal for another couple of fouls.
