Birmingham vs Wrexham – Wrexham to win @ 5/2 with bet365

Birmingham stormed to the League One title last season, finishing 19 points clear of runners-up Wrexham but it is the Dragons, not the Blues, still dreaming of a short layover in the Championship this season.

Wrexham entered the weekend in seventh, reeling from a 5-1 drubbing at home to sixth-placed Southampton. They have lost more games at the Racecourse Ground (6) than on the road (5) this season.

Though the Blues have lost just three at St Andrew’s all season (W9, D8), a run of six losses in the last eight suggests Chris Davies’ side are running out of steam now. Two of those home league losses have come in the last four, with Birmingham scoring just three times in the last six overall. Phil Parkinson’s side could pick their pockets and keep the play-off dream alive.

Sunderland vs Tottenham – Sunderland to win at 17/10 with bet365

Tottenham are desperate for a new-manager bounce under Roberto De Zerbi but the former Brighton boss may struggle in his first match in charge when his side head to the Stadium of Light to face Sunderland.

Spurs have failed to win their last six away games in the Premier League, collecting just three points during this period, and they look set to experience more disappointment on their travels.

The Black Cats completed the league double over fierce rivals Newcastle before the international break, making it two wins from their last three top-flight assignments, and just three home defeats this season is evidence of how strong Regis Le Bris’s men have been on Wearside.

Chelsea vs Manchester City – Manchester City to win at 23/20 with bet365

Both Chelsea and Manchester City made the FA Cup semi-finals in emphatic fashion last weekend. However, there was a lot more to like about City’s 4-0 demolition of Liverpool than the Blues’ 7-0 rout of League One basement boys Port Vale.

The Citizens were excellent in their dismantling of the Reds and with Erling Haaland, Rayan Cherki and Antoine Semenyo combining to devastating effect almost every time Pep Guardiola’s fly forwards, it is hard to see Chelsea coping with their visitors at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues were thrashed 3-0 by Everton in their last league outing and are still a fair way off the level of City.

Stockport vs Luton – Luton to win @ 27/20 with bet365

There’s the EFL Trophy final at Wembley Stadium to look forward to on Sunday afternoon, with Stockport County and Luton Town going toe-to-toe in the capital.

Both teams come into this game in good form but Luton’s is slightly better, with just one defeat in their last 11 matches in all competitions.

Stockport and Luton played out a 1-1 last month in League One at Kenilworth Road but Jack Wilshere’s side earned a 3-0 win earlier this season at Edgeley Park.

Knowing they can overwhelm County if they get it right on the day, Luton are good value to triumph in the battle of the Hatters at Wembley.

Joe Casey

Crystal Palace vs Newcastle – Newcastle at 6/5 with bet365

Newcastle may have suffered a brutal defeat to rivals Sunderland last time out but they should be fresh after three weeks off, unlike Crystal Palace who had to play Fiorentina in the Conference League on Thursday.

The Magpies have won the last two meetings between this pair by an aggregate score of 7-0 and they are facing an Eagles side who have won just three times at Selhurst Park in the league all season.

Eddie Howe will welcome back Lewis Miley for this clash and he will be pivotal to their midfield, which could become a key battleground in this match.

Aaron Rogan

NEC Nijmegen vs Feyenoord – NEC Nijmegen to win at 6/5 with bet365

NEC Nijmegen have the chance to leapfrog second-placed Feyenoord on Sunday, and the hosts head into this clash after winning three of their last four Eredivisie matches.

That run includes a 3-2 victory at champions PSV, while the hosts were 4-2 winners at Feyenoord earlier this term. They’ve scored 37 goals across their 14 home matches, and that impressive return should worry Feyenoord.

The visitors are winless against the Eredivisie’s top six this season, including defeats at PSV, Twente, and Ajax. Robin van Persie’s side are under huge pressure after winning only one of their last five league games, and NEC Nijmegen are well-placed to capitalise.
