Roma vs Verona – Roma win to nil at 1/1 with bet365

Roma are three wins from four in Serie A this season and all three of those victories have been accompanied by a clean-sheet, a trend that can continue when goal-shy Verona visit the Stadio Olimpico.

Verona have failed to score in three of their last four across all competitions, including their most recent visit to the capital at the end of August when they suffered a heavy 4-0 loss at Lazio.

Last season’s corresponding fixture between these two sides also ended in a Roma victory to nil and Gian Piero Gasperini’s hosts can repeat that trick on Sunday.

Aaron Ashley

Union Berlin vs Hamburg – Union Berlin at 19/20 with bet365

Union Berlin showcased their attacking talents in a thrilling 4-3 victory away at Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend and they should be able to build on that at home to Hamburg.

With eight goals scored in four Bundesliga matches, Union Berlin may simply have too much firepower for their opponents who have already been held to a goalless draw away at Borussia Monchengladbach and swatted aside 5-0 at a rampant Bayern.

Hamburg picked up their first win following promotion in a 2-1 success at home to Heidenheim last weekend but they had failed to score in their opening three assignments and may find this test beyond their capabilities.

Joe Champion

Freiburg vs Hoffenheim – Freiburg at 5/4 with bet365

Freiburg have responded to a slow start to the season with four straight victories in all competitions, including Bundesliga triumphs over Werder Bremen and Stuttgart, and their fine run should continue when Hoffenheim visit Breisgau.

The hosts have to cope with the extra rigors of Europa League football, but their 2-1 win over Basel came on Wednesday, so they should have recovered sufficiently come Sunday.

Hoffenheim stunned Leverkusen in their season opener then beat Union Berlin in their most recent road match, but they’ve also suffered heavy defeats against Frankfurt and Bayern, and have defensive deficiencies to address.

Rennes vs Lens – Under 2.5 goals at 11/10 with bet365

Rennes have only won one of their last four games in Ligue 1, but they will hope home advantage gives them a chance of getting a result against Lens.

Only one point separates the two sides in the table and Rennes will look to continue their strong record at home. They have only conceded one goal in their last three home matches, while Lens have only scored more than two goals in one of their last 10 away matches.

The previous five meetings between the pair have all been close battles, with under 2.5 goals landing in each of those ties.

Warren Ashurst

Real Betis vs Osasuna – Real Betis to win and BTTS at 11/4 with bet365

Fresh from a dramatic draw with Nottingham Forest in the Europa League, Real Betis will look to move into the top-six of La Liga.

Manuel Pellegrini’s men have lost just one of their opening six league games and have scored in all of their matches so far this season.

Betis have found the net seven times in their last three games in all competitions, while Osasuna head to Andalusia having collected seven points from six matches.

You have to go back to 2014 for the last time Osasuna won at Betis, but they have scored on their last three visits.

Aaron Rogan

Lille vs Lyon – Lille to win at 5/4 with bet365

Lille bounced back from last weekend’s defeat at Lens by securing a 2-1 home win against Brann in the Europa League. They host a Lyon side who were in Utrecht for their midweek European trip, so they could be a little more fatigued for Sunday’s return to league action.

Lille have won four of their last five, which includes three straight victories at home. They’re Ligue 1’s joint-highest scorers, while the hosts have the highest xG tally in the division. While Lyon have made a good start, their summer of upheaval should hit them over the course of the season. With Lille shaping up like a genuine Champions League contender, back them to secure the points.
