French Open Women’s Singles Tips – CopyBet

The French Open, the second Grand Slam tournament of the tennis year, starts on clay at Roland Garros in Paris on Sunday and it’s a slight surprise to see Iga Swiatek, winner of the Women’s Singles in four of the last five years, second favourite to rule once again.

The Pole has been struggling with her game, though, even on her preferred clay terrain and that has led the oddsmakers to find in favour of world number one Aryna Sabalenka, who tops this year’s outright market.

The next two names in the betting are young guns Coco Gauff and Mirra Andreeva. Both have been in good nick in 2025 and both are potential winners in the coming fortnight, so Sabalenka and Swiatek will have to be on top of their games in Paris to prevail.

Mirra Andreeva to win

Tip 1: Gauff’s only Grand Slam tournament triumph to date has come at the US Open in 2023 when she went all the way in her homeland. However, make no mistake, in time it’s highly likely that Gauff will become a multiple major champion because she is so good.

Predicting exactly when that might happen is difficult, but suffice to say she is a contender at every Slam she competes in and so the win ratio could improve soon.

Gauff was outplayed by Jasmine Paolini in the Rome final recently and she could take some stopping in Paris, but slight preference this year is for the Atlanta native’s nearest market rival Andreeva.

Both are huge talents, but Andreeva looks hugely comfortable on clay and it’s no surprise that the oddsmakers rate her chances so highly.

She reached the semi-finals at Roland Garros last year and the 18-year-old could go even further in Paris one year on.

Andreeva has the support of former Wimbledon champion Conchita Martinez in her coaching set-up and the Spaniard will have excellent advice to offer her teenage charge on the sidelines.

Her young age may deter some punters from getting involved, but the bookmakers clearly believe Andreeva is ready to win her first Grand Slam singles title and it’s difficult to disagree with their beliefs.

Ekaterina Alexandrova to win fourth quarter

BET NOW

Tip 2: Ekaterina Alexandrova has been playing some of the best tennis of her career in recent months and the 30-year-old is worth chancing to outlast some big names in the fourth quarter of the women’s draw.

Gauff and Australian Open champion Madison Keys are in this quarter as well as Emma Navarro and Wimbledon heroine Barbora Krejcikova.

But while Keys will look for another rousing title tilt in the next two weeks, it may be worth an interest on unheralded 20th seed Alexandrova, who has won 17 of 27 matches this year and lifted the title in Linz in February.
