Southampton vs Manchester City
FST Predicts: 3-0 Man City
Man City need a win as they push for a top five finish, while Southampton are playing simply to avoid joining Derby County with the unwanted record for the lowest points total in Premier League history.
Manchester City have kept a clean sheet in five of their last seven games and should be able to do so again when they face a Southampton side who showed little going forward in their 2-0 defeat to Leicester last time out. Southampton have conceded exactly three goals on 14 occasions in all competitions this season and a repeat of that looks likely here, our tipster fancies a 3-0 win for City.
Fulham vs Everton
FST Predicts: 1-1
Europe is still a possibility for Fulham but they’re not showing a great deal of desire to sneak into the Conference League.
Everton have drawn six of their last ten Premier League games, four of which ended 1-1. They face a Fulham side that have scored three goals in their last three fixtures. The spoils could be shared here in a 1-1 draw.
Wolves vs Brighton
FST Predicts: 3-2 Wolves
Wolves are one of the form sides in the Premier League and a six-match winning streak lifted them clear of relegation danger and looking at a mid-table finish. Vitor Pereira’s side were beaten by Manchester City 1-0 last time out, but they can quickly get back on track against a Brighton side who have won only one of their last eight matches in all competitions.
Meetings between these two are often lively and this latest clash could have a real end-of-season feel to it with Wolves having little left to play and Brighton still chasing a European qualification place. Five of the last seven meetings have featured at least four goals and this encounter could be a high-scoring affair, our tipster is going for an ambitious 3-2 win for the hosts.
Bournemouth vs Aston Villa
FST Predicts: 3-1 Bournemouth
Goals often flow when Bournemouth lock horns with Aston Villa and ten of 14 meetings have seen both teams score. The Cherries bagged two at Arsenal last week and they are likely to start on the front foot as they chase a European qualification spot for next season. Villa are still in the Champions League reckoning but they have scored more than once in only one of their last four away fixtures – against relegated Southampton – and may struggle to notch more than once again this week, we’re predicting a 3-1 win for the Cherries.
Nottingham Forest vs Leicester
FST Predicts: 2-0 Forest
This is the kind of game Nottingham Forest must win if they are to make it into the top five of the Premier League this season and they are a solid bet to defeat already-relegated Leicester without conceding. The Foxes have failed to score in nine of their last 11 league fixtures.
Nottingham Forest were 3-1 winners over Leicester earlier this season and could again win by a margin of two goals. This time around, 2-0 looks like an appropriate correct-score pick given that four of Forest’s last five games have featured under 2.5 goals.
Liverpool vs Arsenal
FST Predicts: 2-1 Liverpool
Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 14 home meetings with Arsenal and have won 14 of their 17 league games at Anfield this season, they should be able to extend that run with success over a beleaguered Gunners side.
Both teams have scored and Liverpool have won in five of their last seven home games and Arsenal did manage to have 19 shots in midweek against PSG so could get on the scoresheet in defeat, a 2-1 home win is the correct score pick.
