We’re right down to the business end of the season now across Europe and there are a host of fixtures with plenty on the line taking place on Sunday.

Lyon put their Europa League exit to Manchester United and derby loss at St Etienne behind them by beating Rennes 4-1 last Saturday.

For all the issues engulfing the club, those recent defeats aside, their form has been strong and they remain in the race for a Champions League finish.

Lens visit on Sunday, aiming to recover from a 4-0 home loss to Auxerre.

That result means Will Still’s side are probably out of the running for the European places but, having won 3-1 at Brest in their penultimate game, could play a big part in this one.

Over 3.5 goals have been scored in four of Lyon’s last six in the league and they can win in a typically entertaining fashion.

West Ham have endured a difficult campaign but they can climb above London rivals Tottenham by defeating the Lilywhites at the London Stadium.

Hammers’ boss Graham Potter could do with strengthening his bond with the club’s fans and he has a great opportunity as he prepares his team to take on a Spurs side focused on Europa League matters.

Tottenham were 3-1 winners at home to Bodo/Glimt on Thursday but they face a tricky return leg on an artificial surface in northern Norway and will be keen to prepare as thoroughly as possible.

Ange Postecoglou will be preparing to ring the changes and his weakened side may struggle to cope with a highly-motivated opponent.

Brest vs Montpellier – Brest -1 on handicap at 20/21 with bet365

Brest suffered a shock 3-1 defeat at Montpellier in November but they should avenge that loss with a comprehensive home win over Ligue 1’s bottom club on Sunday.

The hosts are worth backing to cover a one-goal handicap, having won five of their six home matches against bottom-seven teams this season by 2-0, 4-1, 2-0, 2-0 and 4-0 scorelines.

Relegated Montpellier have lost 14 of their 15 away matches this season, scoring only six goals, and they were thumped 5-1 by Marseille in their last road fixture.

This side pits fifth against fourth and the hosts will be aiming to continue their fantastic form to leap into a Champions League place. The visitors haven’t won at a top 10 side all season, while they’ve lost at Fiorentina and Parma across their last three trips.

Bologna dropped points at Udinese last weekend, but they’ve been fantastic at home of late. The Rossoblu have won nine of their last 10 home matches, beating Dortmund, AC Milan, Lazio, and Inter Milan in that run.

New York City FC vs Cincinnati – Cincinnati to win at 9/4 with bet365

Cincinnati are the early pacesetters in the Eastern Conference with the second best overall record in MLS, and they can continue their fine start to the season with a win at New York City on Sunday evening.

Cinci are on a five-game winning streak and they’re heading to a New York City side who are in mixed form. NYCFC have won just two of their last six, losing three of those games, and they were perhaps fortunate to grind out a 1-0 win over Philadelphia Union in their last home game.

This will be the first meeting between these sides since City claimed a narrow series win in the Playoffs last season, and Cinci can take some revenge at the first opportunity.
