Barrow are 21st in the away league table, but we think the Bluebirds can cause Vale some issues. They have scored in four of their last five games, a couple of those against some of the divisions top sides in AFC Wimbledon and Notts County.

Vale had to wait until late on to find a way past Morecambe at the weekend, but do not usually have trouble finding the net, having scored in five of their last six home league games. Vale have conceded in 50% of their home games, however, and we feel Barrow’s renewed attacking vigour can cause problems.

Carlisle have the chance to climb off the bottom of League Two by getting any sort of result against MK Dons on Tuesday evening, but they will also recognise that this is one of their biggest remaining opportunities to take all three points and close the gap to safety to a much less daunting four points.

They put together an impressive performance at the weekend to see off Bromley, who are usually tough to beat on their travel. They created 2.5 xG, registering 9 shots on target which is their joint highest tally of the season. They must be buoyed by what they managed to produce, and have another home game to back it up.

MK Dons must be one the most disappointing sides in the whole EFL this season, busting many bettors antepost accas. They’ve already put pay to two managers with burgeoning reputations, one of whom Mike Williamson left to manage Carlisle and was subsequently sacked.

They have won two of their last three games to stop the rot a little, but before that had lost six out of seven games. Confidence may be starting to come back, but those two wins were intercepted by a 3-0 defeat at Port Vale, which shows how fragile any new held belief may be.
