There is a huge night of boxing in Saudi Arabia on Saturday with a stacked card headlined by the undisputed light heavyweight showdown between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol, with Daniel Dubois vs Joseph Parker serving as the chief support.

Daniel Dubois’ IBF world heavyweight title defence against Joseph Parker is big enough to headline most events but this is no ordinary card. Elsewhere, Shakur Stevenson is on the bill, there is a huge super welterweight bout between Vergil Ortiz Jr and Israil Madrimov, while two other big names in the heavyweight division collide as Zhilei Zhang takes on Agit Kabayel.

Dubois vs Parker serves as the chief support for Beterbiev vs Bivol 2. Fans have a few choices as streaming service DAZN, Sky Sports Box Office and TNT Sports Box Office are all broadcasting the event.

The undercard is due to begin at around 4pm in the UK. Ringwalks for Beterbiev vs Bivol 2 should take place at around 10.30pm and the ringwalks for Dubois vs Parker will take place at any time from 8.30pm depending on how long the other undercard bouts take.

Dubois vs Parker Prediction and Fight Preview

Dubois vs Parker promises to be a fascinating fight as two heavyweights who have battled back from adversity meet in a world title showdown.

Dubois’ future came under scrutiny after a damaging loss to Joe Joyce but a decent display in defeat to Oleksandr Usyk put him firmly back on the map. He became interim IBF champion by seeing off the previously unbeaten Filip Hrgovic, was elevated to full champion after Usyk vacated and then completed his comeback by sensationally stopping Anthony Joshua in the fifth round.

Parker’s road to redemption has been a long one. The New Zealander lost his WBO world title nearly seven years ago and spent a few years in the boxing wilderness. A pair of wins over Dereck Chisora raised his stock but then he lost to Joyce and dropped down the pecking order again. However, Parker comes into Saturday’s fight in arguably the best form of his career after victories over Deontay Wilder and Zhang – and a win over Dubois would complete his own comeback.

Dubois is the clear favourite and that seems to be based on his superior power. Parker looks a tough opponent for Dynamite, however, as he moves incredibly well and is technically excellent defensively.,

I quite fancy Parker as the underdog but an intriguing option here is the 10/3 on offer for both men to be knocked down. Parker hauled himself off the canvas twice to beat Zhang and has been dropped by Dillian Whyte, Chisora and Joyce over the course of his career – and Dubois may well hit harder than all three.

Dubois’ two losses have both been stoppages and he fought back from three first round knockdowns against Kevin Lerena to win, so both of these men are susceptible to getting caught and both carry power.

As a single bet, both fighters to be knocked down looks a decent value play and for the purposes of the acca (which I’ll get to later) we’ll go for a more straightforward two or more knockdowns at 13/10.

Beterbiev vs Bivol 2 Prediction and Fight Preview

The first fight between these two stars was an absolute classic and we should expect something similar in the rematch.

Both went into the first fight unbeaten but now Bivol has a loss to avenge on his record and no titles, after Beterbiev edged a close fight by majority decision.

Beterbiev holds all the titles and the pressure is on Bivol to win them back but I’m not convinced he can alter his gameplan enough to emerge victorious.

Beterbiev applied more pressure and connected with the more eye-catching shots last time out. Neither fighter ever looked in any real danger of being stopped in that first clash so the judges could be required and Beterbiev can win on points once again.

Hamzah Sheeraz to win by KO, TKO or Disqualification

We should get a good idea of just how good rising middleweight star Hamzah Sheeraz is on the undercard as he steps in the ring with WBC champion Carlos Adames.

Sheeraz has a 21-0 record with 17 knockouts, with his last 15 wins coming inside the distance.

Adames is 21-1 and a top level fighter, but Sheeraz could be a level above the Dominican and has a considerable height and size advantage so back him to record another stoppage win.

Vs Israil Madrimov

Aside from the main event, Vergil Ortiz vs Israil Madrimov could be the toughest fight to call on this incredible card. Madrimov gave a good account of himself in defeat to Terence Crawford but Ortiz is a different kind of challenge. The Texan is 22-0 with 21 stoppages and is a relentless pressure fighter, and his aggressive approach should see him edge this super welterweight match-up.
