Fiorentina seem to have recovered from a rough patch of form which saw them go 7 games without a win. They’ve now won 3 of the last 4, dropping points only to Inter, who they had thumped 3-0 just before. Previous to that awful run of form, Fiorentina had won each of their last 8 league games and had lost just 1 game out of 14 in the league. They comfortably dispatched Como 2-0 in the reverse fixture, and at home, are the well merited favourites.

The visitors haven’t had it so easy this season, sitting 10 places below Fiorentina in 16th position. Como have now lost 4 of their last 5 and from what we’ve seen from them when on the road, this streak is likely to extend further.

Across 12 away league matches, Como have managed just a single win, losing 7 and managing 4 draws. To make matters worse, Fiorentina have won 10 of their most recent 14 at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Espanyol have still not managed an away win in the league this season, sitting with the dreadful record of 9 losses and 2 draws from their 11 games on the road. Home form, however, has been a stark contrast, as the Catalan side have accumulated 6 wins and 3 draws from their 12 matches, averaging a respectable 1.75 points per game. They have scored 16 goals at home, compared to just 6 away.

Athletic Club are also a side performing better at home this season, but they have seen an increase in goals when playing away. Los Leones are averaging 2.2 goals per game at the San Mames Stadium compared to 2.72 goals per game on the road, with this bet landing in 10 out of 11 league matches in total.

This selection has been a winner in 15 of Udinese’s last 17 matches across all competitions, meanwhile, their typically high-scoring games have averaged 2.75 goals scored. This figure rises to 3.75 when considering only their most recent 4, with plenty of expected goals being created over the period too.

This campaign, his tactical approach has elevated Frankfurt’s attacking output, with the team already equalling last season’s win total (11) in just 21 games. Currently sitting 3rd in the Bundesliga, they trail 2nd-placed Leverkusen by 7 points, with their primary ambition now centred around securing a Champions League spot – something they have not achieved since their 2nd-place finish in 2011/12.

While Frankfurt’s league form has hit a slight stumbling block with 3 successive draws, it follows an impressive run of victories. Their home performances remain outstanding, with just 1 defeat across all competitions (W10, D4) this season. Despite the departure of top scorer Omar Marmoush, Frankfurt’s attack has remained potent, thanks to Hugo Ekitiké’s 5-goal contribution in the last 6 matches. Additionally, the arrival of Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi bolsters their attacking depth.

Holstein Kiel, on the other hand, present little resistance in what has been a tough debut Bundesliga season.

The newly-promoted side find themselves 2nd from bottom, battling relegation and sitting 5 points from safety. Their defence has been a major issue, conceding 2.57 goals per game – the worst in the league. Their struggles away from home are even more pronounced, averaging 2.7 goals conceded per match and failing to register a single victory (D3, L7). Real Betis got off to an excellent start in the Conference League play-offs midweek, as they beat Gent 3-0 in Belgium. They will return to the Benito Villamarin Stadium on Sunday night aiming to build on that result – especially given how they have performed better in front of a home crowd.

In fact, Real Betis have scored in every home game so far this season, including against Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. Betis have remained a strong attacking force, and strengthened in forward areas with the addition of Antony from Manchester United. The winger registered his first goal for his new club against Celta Vigo, while also scoring against Gent.

With near-enough a full squad available for selection against Real Sociedad, Manuel Pellegrini ought to be confident heading into this clash.
