West Brom vs Sheffield Wednesday – West Brom at 11/10 with bet365

West Brom suffered a setback in their Championship playoff push when they were sunk by two late goals at struggling Plymouth, but a home match against Sheffield Wednesday looks a good opportunity for them to bounce back.

The Baggies have experienced gaffer Tony Mowbray at the helm and his side have been strong at The Hawthorns this term, suffering just a solitary defeat to Middlesbrough in October.

They have had plenty of draws but have won four of their last five home league games, including a 5-1 demolition of Portsmouth in their most recent.

Wednesday, meanwhile, have won two of their last eight second-tier games and while the Owls have claimed six away victories this season, this looks a tough assignment.

Gareth Freeman

Sporting Gijon vs Eibar – Gijon to win at 19/20 with bet365

Sporting Gijon look to have emerged from a rough patch after beating Burgos 2-0 last weekend and they can give their outside chances of gatecrashing the play-offs a boost by seeing off terrible travellers Eibar on Saturday.

Eibar have just two wins in 12 La Liga 2 trips, losing eight of those games, and they’re in poor form in general with just one win in their last six. The visitors have gone two games without scoring and look there for the taking here, so at 19/20 Gijon look good value for maximum points.

Joe Casey

Brighton vs Chelsea – Chelsea at 13/10 with bet365

Brighton were beaten 7-0 by Nottingham Forest last time out and it may take them some time to bounce back from such a disappointing defeat.

They are beset by injuries at the moment and have a poor record when hosting Chelsea, having only won one of the last 11 meetings between the two in their own back yard.

The visitors’ big squad means that they are able to rotate and still have success, they have won nine of their 11 cup matches this term, and should be able to extend that run with another win.

Leeds vs Millwall – Millwall Double Chance at 13/8 with bet365

Leeds are on a roll at the minute, but the promotion contenders have three key clashes with the top six in their next four league matches. Daniel Farke rotated the side for the Third Round clash with Harrogate and the focus for them is likely to be on their key games over the next few weeks.

As for Millwall, they’ve won three games on the spin in the Championship, including victories at Luton and Portsmouth. The visitors are unbeaten in four overall and they can put up some resistance against a rotated Leeds side. Take the Lions to avoid defeat.

Henry Hardwicke

Birmingham vs Newcastle – Birmingham to win at 5/1 bet365

League One Birmingham host Premier League Newcastle at St Andrews in an FA Cup fourth-round tie on Saturday and there is the feeling of an upset in the air.

Blues sit at the top of the third-tier table and Chris Davies’ side have made the investment and have the quality to be challenging at the top of the Championship.

A clash with Newcastle clearly represents a step-up in class, but the Magpies put a lot into their EFL Cup semi-final clash with Arsenal on Wednesday night and Eddie Howe’s men could struggle to go again just a few days later.

Alex Wrigley

St Etienne vs Rennes – St Etienne to win at 23/10 with bet365

Both these sides are in danger of relegation this season, but St Etienne can give their survival hope a big boost against Ligue 1’s worst travellers on Saturday.

Rennes have picked up just one point from 27 available on the road, which is one fewer than St Etienne’s tally of two away points which, of course, leaves them with a relatively respectable home record despite their predicament.

The hosts have won five of their nine home matches and two of their three defeats came against top-six sides, so back them against a Rennes side under new management.
