Finishing a respectable 3rd in this race last year when 3lb lighter, Es Perfecto has come on a lot since then and was rewarded for his consistent streak last month.

Winning over course and distance on just his 5th chase start after making the switch from hurdles, he looks a promising chaser and looks likely to have more up his sleeve. Producing a solid jumping display last time out when winning by 1 ¼ lengths, beating Doctor Ken, who was seeking a double and racing on favourable ground conditions in today’s affair, he holds strong each-way claims to follow up his recent performance.

Heading to Kempton for the 14:30, our next free Hit Rates tip is BRAVEMANSGAME, who has placed in the top 4 in 80% of his races.

A 9-year-old gelding who isn’t in the same form as his earlier career but has been racing consistently over the last 2 years. Although failing to pick up a win in his last 9 appearances, he has raced well in defeat, finishing 2nd in 5 of those starts. A consistent sort in big races, and given he has already won this race back in 2022, before finishing 2nd in the Gold Cup to Galopin Des Champs, his record can’t be overlooked.

Producing a solid effort when trying to retain this race last year, he finished 2nd behind Hewick when having every chance to take the race and is the type you know you will get a solid performance out of. Racing 3 times over course and distance here at Kempton, the gelding has recorded finishes of 1, 1, 2 and considering he has placed in 100% of his races on good ground, he holds solid each-way claims today.

Rounding up today’s Hit Rates at Wincanton, our final free Hit Rate of the day comes in the 14:38, where we have GELINO BELLO, who has finished in the top 4 in 76% of his races.

An 8-year-old gelding who has built up a very credible form book but may put a few punters off given his last 2 appearances. Falling at Kempton last Boxing Day before pulling up at Cheltenham with a minor tendon strain when last seen in January, he does come with concerns, but given what he is capable of, his price looks extremely big.

Prior to his 2 mishaps, Gelino Bello’s previous 10 appearances saw him win 6 of those 10 starts, and considering he didn’t fail to finish inside the top 4 in all 10 outings, he can’t be overlooked on his return. Undergoing wind surgery in July and returning here today off a mark of 142, which is 6lb lighter than his previous 2 wins and with 5lb claimer Jay Tidball shedding extra weight, his large price looks appealing on his return.
