The opening Grand Slam of 2026 gets underway this weekend as the Australian Open begins at Melbourne Park.
I’ve picked out an outright double for the men’s and women’s singles that pays out at 19/1. In the women’s draw, I’ve focused on the winner market but in the men’s event I’ve taken a different approach.
Jannik Sinner is the clear favourite at 5/6 and his most likely rival Carlos Alcaraz has found Melbourne to be a tough hunting ground, with two quarter-final appearances his best results so far in the opening major of the season. Instead, I’ve picked out a quarter winner at a far more tempting 6/1.

Australian Open 2026 outright predictions
Men’s singles – Felix Auger-Aliassime to win 2nd quarter @ 6/1 with bet365
The second quarter draw looks to be a four-way fight between last year’s runner-up Alexander Zverev, serial finalist Daniil Medvedez, Andrey Rublev and Felix Auger-Aliassime.
Zverev and Medvedev are the joint favourites, but Auger-Aliassime may be the man to come through.
Medvedev endured a disappointing season last year as he failed to progress beyond the second round in any Slam event, while Zverev struggled in the second half of the season and lost to Auger-Aliassime at both the US Open and in the ATP Finals.
Auger-Aliassime, in contrast, is a man on the rise after achieving a career-high fifth place in the world rankings in November, and he enters the Australian Open as the seventh seed.
The 25-year-old Canadian reached the semi-finals of the US Open, beating Rublev as well as Zverev on his way to the last four, before reaching the ATP Finals last four.
Auger-Aliassime warmed up for the Australian Open with a competitive exhibition against Sinner, losing 2-1 in a match that lasted nearly two hours, and that should serve as good preparation for the main event, and he looks well placed for a deep run Down Under.
Women’s singles – Aryna Sabalenka to win Australian Open @ 15/8 with bet365
Aryna Sabalanka looks capable of justifying her favouritism in the women’s singles as the world number one seeks to respond after losing out to Madison Keys in the showpiece last year.
The Belarusian has reached each of the last six Grand Slam finals played on hardcourts and has won four of those.
Last season did end on a disappointing note as she was beaten in the finals of the WTA Finals by Elena Rybakina. However, after losing the season-ending tournament in 2022 she responded by claiming her first Grand Slam win at the 2023 Australian Open and history could well repeat itself for Sabalenka as she seeks a third win in four years in Melbourne.
